Running out of things to do in lockdown or just time for a change? Why not try your hand at some DIY and make some easy home improvements. It doesn’t need to be anything drastic, we’re not telling you to knock a wall down and create an open plan living space but just adding some new accessories, painting your walls or bringing some plant life into your space can really refresh a room. Plus, it’s totally grammable.
Change of Colour
Probably the most simple way to change up a room, why not scrap the beige or white and go for a pop of colour on the walls or a dusky pastel shade? If you’re feeling really adventurous and the space fits well, then dark shades are all the rage.
Gallery Wall
Renting and can’t paint your walls? You can still make some easy home improvements. Prints and gallery walls are a great way to bring life and colour into a dull space. You can really make it your own with your individual taste and style. We love Desenio for prints. Why not try mixing up the frame colours too for a really quirky look. Command strips are going to be your saviour here for keeping those walls pristine when it comes to moving out.
Herb Garden
Hear us out see, you don’t have to have a huge garden or green house to grow your own plants. If you have a balcony there’s loads of hacks for creating your own herb garden like these vertical planters. While you’re at it, why not give your balcony a bit of love and create a super cute seating area? If you can’t make it out the flat for Summer, there’s no reason you can’t still enjoy getting some fresh air in a nice space. Fairylights, blankets and plants are a great start and we love these sofas made from old palettes.
