With Summer 2020 being a funny old time, we wanted to share some of the most stunning hot spots we have found and the best bit about it? They are all right here in the UK. Who knows, some of these beaut locations could be right on your doorstep!
St Ives, Cornwall
Trust us on this one, we have seen images of St Ives on Instagram it could easily be confused with the likes of Sunny Spain or Greece. Known for their surf beaches and art scene St Ives is the place to be. Wanting a little more nature on your staycation? Hello Seal Island! Get up close and personal with these cuties or just admire from a far with a round boat trip.
Torquay, Devon
There is a reason stunning Devon has been named as the 'English Reviera'. Torquay is the best spot to hit up for a classic seaside get away. With a stunning harbour surrounded by bustling restaurants and no shortage of pubs or bars we are all in for a trip to Toruay!
Portmerion, Wales
Where do we even start with this beautiful village. Portmerion was originally designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in the style of a classic Italian Village. Now owned by a charitable trust they have maintained this dreamy asthetic and keep it in perfect condition. With a variety of colourfully painted buildings this hot spot has quickly gained the name as the Rainbow Village as well as being compared to a real life Alice in Wonderland scene. Ugh please can we just book already! 💕
Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire
Robin Hood's Bay is a small fishing village and bay located in North Yorkshire, this picturesque location is perfect for everyone. With sandy coastal walks, twisting cobble streets and many cafes, pubs, restaurants and quaint shops to explore. We feel this small village we have you feeling like you've gone back in time almost and joined the many fisherman who would of walked these streets.
Lake District
With so many beautiful hot spots located within the Lake District we found it hard to just pick out one. Depending on what you are hoping to gain from your getaway one of the following may be the fave for you -
Keswick - Something for everyone, from shopping to food and drink, even a super fun optical illusion museum (Puzzling Place).
Windermere - Dreamy walks across the beautiful landscape and of course we can't not mention The World of Beatrix Potter.
Hawkshead - All about the culture and charm.
Bowness On Windermere - Best for water-sports and fine dining.
Ambleside - Dreamy photography spots and nature.
Cotswolds
Another dreamy hot spot for stunning surrounding landscapes and outstanding countryside. A typically English location full of quaint stone streets, historic houses and cute pub lunches for all. Sunday strolls here would hit differently.
Now just the tough decision of picking where to go first! Fingers crossed for the sunshine too! Be sure to let us know if you hit up any of these spots? @PublicDesire
