#TrendTuesdays

So girls, you know when you choose the cheap flights to save money on travel expenses so later on you can spend more money on shoes?
You think all is well until you get to the check in desk and your bags overweight and shock horror you’ve got no hand luggage. With nothing else to do you have a ‘cool runnings’ moment, throw on all those extra clothes until you’re boarding the plane looking like santa clause at a carboot.
Well, there you have it, the ‘Throw on everything you own and hope for the best’ trend.
It’s easy, its catchy and you can basically wear the same thing over because let’s face it, nobody actually knows what’s under all those layers.
For all you ‘throw on’ first timers, here’s a check list to help you along the way.
  1. Open wardrobe
  2. Close eyes
  3. Grab 6 hangers (containing clothes)
  4. Put on all clothes in any order
  5. Open eyes
  6. Leave house (If in doubt, add another layer and leave anyway)
If you’re thinking ‘am I doing this right?’ Yes, yes you are and here’s some we found earlier.
Rule number 1. There are no rules.
Rule number 2. Socks are always a good idea.
Rule number 3. If you look like you’re about to sleep, you’re doing it right.
Rule number 4. The ‘throw on everything’ trend is suitable for all occasions, even hiking.
Rule number 5. It works better if all your clothes are the same colour. (It makes it harder for people to tell if you wore the same outfit the day before).
Rule number 6. Trousers always look good under dresses.
Rule number 7. Just because your’e wearing everything you own doesn’t mean you cant still show some skin.
Rule number 8. Got some tights? Got some socks? Good, wear them both together.
Rule number 9. Have fun with it!
