Get Your DIY On: Customisin’ Your PD Shoes

We know your shoe-drobe is lookin’ pretty fire already, but are you thinkin’ of taking things to the next level? Spoiler: you need some DIY shoes in your life. We’ve taken some tips from our crafty blogger baes and the fashion fiends at Graduate Fashion Week for a lil inspo on how to add your own spin on a PD classic.
Public Desire DIY Shoes
Always lookin’ to stand out from the crowd? Take some tips from the crafty gals on our insta feed to make sure that you’ll never turn up in the club with the same pair as anyone else.
Miss Enocha’s Pom Pom Sandals
Babein’ Miss Enocha from the blog Locks and Trinkets has been on our radar since day one with her super sassy outfits and killa braids. But this gal has started standin’ out for her DIY series on the blog. She’s created her own DIY shoes by takin’ our Juliette heels and addin’ some fire pom poms to the cross bar of the heel and the end of the tassels.
Just add poms and sass.
You will need: Juliette heels, pom poms, glue gun.
Sara Luxe’s Star Print Booties
We’ve been obsessed with Stylist Sara’s wardrobe for as long as we can remember (and have told her about 100 times too), so we had to look a lil harder when we saw these beauts tagged as Public Desire on her insta. Turns out, all you need is a fabric pen and a pair of faux suede boots. This style’s sold out, but we’ve got plenty more where that came from.
You will need: Presley boots, silver fabric pen.
GFW Neon Cleated Platforms
Not sure on the colour? Paint them. They’re the simplest DIY shoes in the book, but sometimes there’s no need to add any extra effort when you’ve got the perf solution sittin’ right in front of you.
You will need: Jessi platforms, acrylic paint.
GFW Ombre Boots
We’re still not entirely over ombre. We may not have it in our hair any more, but we’re totally vibin’ what the grads did with our Chloe boots at Graduate Fashion Week. Add a lil bit of glitter for an extra fleeky look.
You will need: Chloe boots, fabric pen.
