If you know your flat white from your latte (we had to ask our barista of choice), then you’re in the right place. We know Soho’s got a bit of a rep for coffee houses, but we’re telling you Manchester coffee is on the up; just like our energy levels.
Manchester Coffee: Where To Go To ‘Gram
Looking for the best places in the capital of the North to get your morning (afternoon or evening) caffeine fix? Bae, we feel ya. We happily took on the task of “research” and grabbed our best overhead coffee angle to capture MCR’s latte art at its best.
Pot Kettle Black, Barton Arcade, Deansgate
Owned by Rugby League players (who are in there a lot, FYI), this coffee shop just off Deansgate is the perfect place to unwind, just a stone’s throw away from the heart of the shopping district. Perf’ if you’re looking for somewhere Spinningfields end, which isn’t a chain.
Federal Coffee, Nicholas Croft
We bet you’ve heard of this one if you know anything about your Manchester brunches. High on peoples to-avocado list, Federal sells itself as Kiwi/Aussie cafe hybrid. Even if you’re not sure what this means (don’t worry, we’re not sure we know either), hit them up for beaut bacon and perf’ natural lighting for that all important latte shot.
Ancoats Coffee Company, Royal Mills
This one’s a lil more off the beaten track. but worth it to check out where the locals get their brew. Underneath Royal Mills, Ancoats Coffee Company keeps things caffeinated with some of the best coffee in the city. You’re welcome.
Evelyns Cafe Var, Tib Street
Evelyns is a good call if you can get a table, and it’s the sort of place to feed and water you at all hours. Of course, this blog post is coffee-focused, but we’re not ones to shy away from a cocktail recommendation either – definitely give this one a look in if you’re around.
Ezra and Gil, Hilton Street
Insider tip: best wifi in town. If that hasn’t got your attention, connect over one of their beaut lattes and try the french toast. Those are carbs you’ll never ever regret.
Foundation Coffee, Lever Street
Now, this is where Manchester coffee absolutely kills it. The matcha lattes come highly recommended too, but we’re all about this cup of milky joy. Check out that latte art too.
Manchester Art Gallery, Mosley Street
Heading to check out VOGUE 100 and lookin’ for your next coffee fix? You needn’t look far, bae. The gallery’s own coffee shop serves the good stuff.
